Networks Tab Detail
On the Networks tab, you can manage all of the private networks (or VLANs) that are available to your physical network. These networks can be applied to your users to provide them with their own private network connection, isolated from the rest of the users in your business.
Note that these are virtual networks (VLANs) contained within your overall physical network; this is the power of isofy! In other words, users only have to worry about one WiFi network name (SSID) and will be automatically assigned to the correct virtual network after connecting to that one WiFi network name. Users gain both privacy/security and convenience of use.
You can add new networks here by clicking the Add New Network button at the top of the list. This will create a new virtual network that can be assigned to your users to give them a private network connection.
In the case that a VLAN ID is specified that is out of the range of available VLANs, a confirmation will popup to verify the VLAN ID and create the network. In these cases, it is advisable to either clear out the VLAN ID field and allow isofy to automatically calculate this field or to contact isofy Support for help.
How to Delete Networks:
If for example a company is no longer with the site, site admins will also have the capability to delete private networks.
There will be two options in deleting a network:
Delete Network
This will only delete the network but the members and devices that are in that network will be transferred over to the General Members network.
Delete Network & Contents
This will both delete the network and all the members and devices in that network
