What is an always-on device?

An "always-on" device refers to a device that is designed to remain powered and operational continuously, typically without interruption. These devices often serve critical functions and are expected to be available for immediate use whenever needed. 


Examples of always-on devices include:

  • Security Cameras
  • Printers
  • Smart Hubs: Alexa or Google Home
