How to Find Your MAC Address (Ethernet and Wi-Fi) on Windows OS?

Modified on Wed, 15 Oct at 4:22 PM

This article will help you find the MAC address for both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections on your Windows 10 or later PC.

A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique identifier for both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, serving as a hardware-level address for devices on a local network. It's a 12-digit hexadecimal number that functions as a physical address, and a device capable of both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections, like a laptop, will have two distinct MAC addresses.

It's typically displayed in one of several common formats such as:

  • 00-1A-2B-3C-4D-5E
  • 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E
  • 001A.2B3C.4D5E.
